Black Moonstone is a mysterious and captivating variety of Feldspar with a deep, smoky color and a soft, silvery shimmer that moves across the surface when light hits it—an effect known as adularescence. While it's called “black,” the stone often shows shades of dark grey, charcoal, and brown, with subtle flashes of silver, peach, or even blue in some pieces.

It forms deep within the Earth’s crust as molten rock slowly cools, allowing Feldspar crystals to develop in layers. These layers are what cause that signature glow that seems to shift as you move the stone.
